[IMP] ENVIRONMENTAL FACTS – LEAD ACID BATTERY

 As we all know the # Lead Acid Batteries are used in most of our day to day applications towards POWER SOURCE  viz.. #Automotive, #Inverter, #UPS, #Solar Power, Railways signalling system, Communication towers and even in fork -lifts and much more. 



We need to know the #ENVIRONMENTAL FACTS about #LEAD ACID BATTERY.

#LEAD is a major component of a Lead Acid Battery, which is one of most valuable metals and serves the best. Besides which diluted Sulfuric Acid is another one used in this #Battery.  
We need to handle the LEAD as well as Acid with much more responsibly, which can harm the MOTHER NATURE if not handled properly. Sulfuric acid is highly corrosive , and Lead has been linked to health effects in humans.

Users should purchase Lead Acid Battery from Authorized Dealers (those who have appropriate knowledge about Battery ) and should return OLD Battery to such Authorized Dealers ONLY. 

#BATTERY Dealer will consider some GOOD value for your OLD Battery and will give you discount as per against the purchase of new Battery. Further they will hand it over to the authorized Smelters to recycle the LEAD from that OLD BATTERY, which is re-used in manufacturing new #BATTERY. 

By doing this we can SAVE our MOTHER NATURE – #Environment.  

Just an example,  if a single Lead Acid Inoperative Battery is incorrectly disposed of in a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) collection system,  it will contaminate very huge solid waste as good as 20 ~25 tonnes and will stop recovery of organic resources within the waste due to high level of LEAD & Sulfuric ions ( as per subject authorized people) .

Hence we should act with responsibly.

 All over the world , all the countries has made guide lines and rules towards handling of LEAD and acid products and we recommend to follow all the statutory rules.

SAFETY MEASURES -

If drop of #ACID from a LEAD ACID BATTERY is dropped on cloths, do use lots of #WATER on it before it dries. In the same way if a drop of ACID drops in eyes , Rinse continuously for about five (5) minutes  in clean running WATER.
